How we handle your files
Your files stay yours. Most of the time they never leave your device at all. When a job does need our help, here is exactly what happens, in plain language.
The tool runs entirely in your browser. Your file is opened, worked on and saved on your own device, and never reaches us at all.
Where: Merge, split, edit, sign, redact, organise, rotate, crop, watermark, page numbers, remove metadata, quick compress and scan.
Some jobs are too heavy for the browser. Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted immediately after. We keep no copy, and nothing is ever used to train a model.
Where: File conversions, OCR, password protect and unlock, Smart and Maximum compression, and reading a receipt or statement.
When you choose to keep a result, it goes into your own private Drive: encrypted at rest, hosted in the EU, shared only when you say so, and yours to export or delete for good at any time.
Where: Your Drive, Workspace, saved results and family storage.
Whatever tier a file is in, it is never

- Used to train any AI model
- Kept a moment longer than the job needs
Prefer everything offline? The desktop apps run entirely on your computer, so those files never leave your device at all.
