Snap receipts into DailyDone from your phone
Receipts happen on your phone, so DailyDone lets you capture them there without installing anything. A photo lands in your private Drive Inbox, ready to check and reconcile.
There are three ways in: snap one in the browser, add a one-tap iPhone Shortcut to your share sheet, or email a file to your private inbox address. Pick whichever suits you.
Snap one in the browser (fastest, any phone)
Works on iPhone and Android with nothing to install.
- 1Open DailyDone in your phone browser and sign in.
- 2Go to Workspace, then Add a document.
- 3Tap “Snap a receipt”, allow the camera, and take the photo.
- 4Check the figures and save it to your Records.
One tap from the iPhone share sheet (Shortcut)
An iOS Shortcut adds an “Add to DailyDone” action to your share sheet. It takes about a minute to set up once, then it is a single tap.
- 1In DailyDone, open Account, then Capture from your phone, and copy your upload link.
- 2Open the Shortcuts app and tap + to create a shortcut.
- 3Add “Get Contents of URL”, paste your link, and set Method to POST.
- 4Under Request Body choose Form, add a field named files, set its type to File, value Shortcut Input.
- 5In the shortcut’s settings turn on Show in Share Sheet and accept Images and PDFs; name it “Add to DailyDone”.
- 6From Photos or any app: Share, then Add to DailyDone. It lands in your Inbox.
Email or share it in
Every account has a private inbox address. Email or share a photo or document to it and it lands in your Drive Inbox. Only mail from your own account email is accepted, so a leaked address cannot inject files.
- 1Open Account, then Capture from your phone, and copy your inbox address.
- 2From your phone, share or email the receipt to that address.
- 3It appears in your Drive Inbox, ready to check.
Turn a captured photo into verified figures
A captured photo is stored in your Inbox. To read and verify it, add it in the Workspace and run the check — the totals are computed and cross-checked, never guessed.

- Do I need to install an app?
- No. You can snap a receipt in your phone browser, add an iPhone Shortcut to your share sheet, or email it in — none of which need an app store.
- Is my upload link private?
- Yes. Your upload link and inbox address carry a private token unique to your account. If it ever leaks, open Account, then Capture from your phone, and generate a new one, which revokes the old link.
- Can someone else send files to my Inbox?
- For email, only messages from your own verified account address are accepted. The upload link is a private token you control and can rotate at any time.
- What happens after I capture a receipt?
- It lands in your Drive Inbox as a file. Open it in the Workspace and run the check to read and verify the figures, then save it to your Records.
